why not?

I wasn’t planning on posting this morning, there still isn’t much happening here (B O R I N G). But then the fates intervened and put something in my path that I could not ignore… did you know that there’s speculation that a dog was part of the Bin Laden mission? Uh huh, it’s true. And the funny thing is that the morning when we woke up to all the Bin Laden brewhaha, The Husband looked at Fifty and said, “and what were you doing last night?” Because we’re both pretty sure that Fifty has a secret life which probably comes along with a secret identity. And now that we know that dogs can be commandos, well, I’m looking at Fifty a little differently.

And it’s about damn time he started earning his keep… all of his tick medicine and anti-tick stuff cost €47, and that’s a lot of kibble. So if anyone knows where I can pick up a Doggy Commando application, please let me know.

So that’s all I got; Fifty may or may not be, (or possibly one day soon if we get that application) a super secret canine assassin (as in he’s the canine, not that he assassinates them).
And because it’s Friday, and you know, why not, here’s a gratuitous photo of a shirtless Honey Jr…

See, not only is he adorable, but he helps little old ladies with their gardening.
Let the brewhaha begin…

  4. Isn't Fifty is too sweet to be a commando pooch? I mean a doggy that would let his mommy put a crown on his head and take his picture can't be a vicious attack dog. Or is that just his cover? A lovable mommy's boy by day, commando anti-terrorist canine by night. Hmmm

  5. Commando fifty .. I LIKE it.But Honey Jr looks a bit shifty in this pic – like he's thinking 'I'll bop her and run – noone will ever know it's me ahahahah' .. Have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to the next post where the words BREWHAHA and COMMANDO APPLICATION are used in the same post (-:

  8. My Golden used to watch “K9 Bootcamp” – I swear. But of course they use mostly Belgian Malinois or German Shephard type dogs (and not for killing). Of course as a watch dog, that's about what he would do if someone broke into the house … “watch.” And then roll over for a belly rub. Speaking of belly rubs – nice shot of Honey Jr. He has permission to be shirtless more often.

  10. Does Honey Jr. know that he has a giant fan club on your blog and that you're now exploiting him (and torturing us) by putting up shirtless pictures of him??Not that I mind, really. Hot shirtless guys should be on your blog more often!

  12. Oh, yes, my 2 little dogs need to start earning their keep too. They are spoiled little babies and will only eat the “fancy” food now which is running me $6/day, (not exaggerating). I keep saying if Cooper could just bring home a paycheck then he would be the perfect man… he looks at me adoringly, doesn't care what I make to eat, greets me like I was gone for years when I've just gone to the mailbox! xo
