  5. That didn't turn out half as bad as I thought! As much as I adore the potential and possibilities of Skpye it is sooooo much better to chat face-to-face whilst sharing the same beverage – not your 5am coffee and my 10pm night-cap! Besos.

  10. I don't know what I'd do without Skype. I feel so much more connected with my family around the world since Skype. I've been able to watch my niece and nephew in Australia grow since they were babies. They know me well despite having only met me in person a couple of times. My parents put me on in the kitchen once a week and I sit with them as they drink tea and chat. It's almost like I'm in the room with them. There's not the usual pressure of the cost of a long distance call, I don't have to worry about talking rubbish and costing my parent's a fortune. I would like to thank Mr Skype for his wonderful invention. He's made living abroad a much easier thing for me.

  14. Love it, I watched my niece get ready for her first Prom that way. When her date picked her up, she introduced him to me by holding up the laptop. I think he thought we were a little odd…

  15. I SKYPed for the first time on Thanksgiving when I was blessed with the opportunity to see my nephew who is serving in the military. My other nephew, his brother, was with me and my cup just runneth over ~ it made the whole day for me. Whoever came up with it is a genius and has my eternal gratitude. It is hard having him so far away (used to spend his summers with me) and SKYPE brought him to me for just a little while on the holiday!

  16. I love skype too. I get to keep in touch with family and friends around the world and see their faces. When scheduling, we have to pick, your morning/my night or my morning/your night.

  17. I heart skype — my sister and I use it when she's in the middle of Africa. Also, you and I have the same Mac zebra background…and, have you noticed there are a LOT of expats named Sara(h). (random train of thought comment) 🙂

  19. My mother is still completely amazed, almost a full year later, that is usually dark here when she calls on it from Philadelphia…that could also have something to do with how long it takes her to figure out how to use it though…
