dull dull dull

{Le Petit Village in hibernation}

I don’t know what the deal is around here but there is nothing to report at all (except of course the disappearance of two plastic ducks and all my family china being broken… and you’ll be happy to know that Operation Superglue is coming along nicely).

Maybe it’s because January is a dull month and Le Petit Village seems to be hibernating. (Apologies Capricorns…. or should I say Sagittarians, since according to the new Zodiac, Sagittarius now stretches through January, meaning that Aquarian me, is really a Capricorn. To which I say hogwash! That’s poppycock plain and simple. I’m the Uranus ruled bearer of water, not a goat. My mother is a goat. I’m not. I’m an Aquarius, and I intend on staying this way). So January is dull around here, minus the Zodiac panic attacks of a girl covered in superglue and mourning missing plastic ducks.

Now that I have your attention, please don’t forget to enter the Honey Jr candle collection giveaway here. And apologies that I am not actually giving away Honey Jr himself. I’ll see what I can do for next time (but I’m thinking instead of a giveaway it could be an auction. Judging by your comments, this could be quite the entrepreneurial opportunity for me).

And does anyone have any thoughts about the new Starbucks Trenta? That’s a whole lotta Frappuccino.

Hold the whip please.
bisou

I know what you mean – thankfully a few visits to the sales broke me out of my “dull-dom”, but our bank account is not too happy at the moment !!I read that “historically”, last Monday was supposed to be the most depressing day of the year -so we're not alone my friend!! Dull-ness all around 🙂

  14. January in Europe always seem to be a dull dull time. I think its the combo of the clouds and cold weather. I am hoping for an early spring to bring some life around here in Germany too 🙂 Stumbled over from thefrogblog and glad I did. Now I need to have an even better look around your cute site!http://texagermanadian.blogspot.com/

  15. January IS a dull month – definitely my least favorite. It's just so blah, isn't it? And nothing exciting happens! Ugh.Oh, and if it helps, I heard/read that the changing of the zodiac signs only applies to those born after 2009, so I think we're all in the clear (or whatever). Not that I believe in astrology or anything, but I was a little confused by suddenly being labeled an Aquarius AND a Capricorn (my birthday falls on the end/beginning date…weird). Aquarius for life! Hahaha. 🙂

  17. Well, all I have to say is if you were indeed giving Honey Jr. away it would make MY January more interesting. And probably yours too since you would be in charge of the giveaway.I can't even begin to imagine how many entries you'd get. Wow.Oh and the new astrological signs were released by one organization. I read that there are several that dispute the new signs saying the signs are fixed to seasons not to star positions. Funny thing is I'm so like a Scorpio with serious Libra tendancies. Weird.

  20. January is no fun anywhere. 😦 What did happen to those ducks? Too bad about Honey Jr. I'm seriously sad right now. Are you very sure he doesn't want to be auctioned off? I think that you might really make a lot of money on that one. 😉

  21. It's January, Sara, and therefore only slightly less dull than February. You are not alone. It's hard to stay alive this time of year (in this hemisphere anyway), much less be interested or interesting. That's why we are here for each other.

  23. January really is a slow month. We're all tired (and in my case, chubby) from the holidays, it's cold, and all we want now is summer. Someone should probably invent something super amazing for January so that there's something to look forward to. Not me though, I'm too tired and chubby right now.

  24. Yup, January seems to go on forever, doesn't it? Luckily, in Japan, we have New year parties all through January to get us through to the hell that is valentine's day. Oh joy.

  25. January is the month of hibernation. Despite the fact I'm a goat (and no, stubborn goats will not abide by this new Sagitarius label being thrown at us), I used to want to sleep through Jan-April. Wake me up in May. And…WHAT? A TRENTA? Yes, that's what America needs, 30 ounzes of frappuccino down their necks and right to their a$$es. I thought the Venti was disgusting enough. Sarahf – I'm with you – I saw the V-day crap at the grocery store today – not sure if I wanted to throw up more looking at that or the thought of a Trenta…

  26. We're hibernating here too, don't worry 😉 January is probably my least favorite month…in December, it's cold, but you have the holidays to look forward to…in January, you look forward to February, which is one month closer to spring! haha. Stay cozy, pretty lady! xoxo {av}

I visited first time ever in Starbucks in Paris, it was disapointing as we did take hot chocolate, obiously need to drink coffee in Starbucks to get good stuff! But they didn't have any amazing coffees like i have heard ( hello, pumpkin spice coffee, where art thou?)
