a winner & i'm outta here

The winner of a copy of Love in a Warm Climate is number 7, Megan (as picked by random.org). Congratulations Megan, and thank you to everyone who entered. …………………………………………………………………………………………………
It’s been six months coming… six months since The Husband and I purchased the plane tickets (and heaven knows, a lot of life has happened in the past six months). Tomorrow, The Husband and I are going to Texas, and I will be on a mission to find a little cowboy hat and red boots to bring home to Fifty.
Can I get a yee-haw?!
See y’all in the fall.

  9. Yee haw, Pardner! Enjoy your trip and prepare for heat and culture shock after your wonderful life in LPV. Safe travels and enjoy your time with family and friends… Oh, and buy yourself a pair of red boots, too. It would give le Villagers something to talk about when you return!Bises,Genie

  10. Bon voyage Madame l”Américaine du Petit Village. I agree with Genie. Prepare yourself for culture shock! If you have any time at all, I, for one, would love to see some pics of Texas. I have never been, other than Austin. A bientôt, Veronique aka French Girl in Seattle

  11. Well, bon voyage like they all said, but I pity anyone going to Texas right now. Yesterday broke the record (set in 1926) for days over 100 degrees in a year. And no relief in sight. Stay cool!
