Oh I agree about Cassis – lovely lovely. We nearly lost our car keys there once many years ago, on the beach. Got all the way up the hill to the car, had heart failure when we realised they'd gone so had to go all the way back down, and found our beach neighbours had seen them, picked them up and kept them for us. They knew we'd be back…I've loved Cassis ever since.Agree about boat rides too – seriously smelly and unpleasant despite lovely views.

Oooh, Cassis is one of my favorite places too. I have verrrry special memories there. But can you believe that I have NEVER taken a boat tour of les Calanques? Exactly for the reason you so wisely stated. Maybe I need to give it a try BEFORE a copious lunch? ;)See you soooon,H

Well of course the husband got lost, he's a man, they don't do directions or even asking for them ;o)As for the pants, I'm hoping that was their trousers rather than their boxers. ALthough shiny trousers…

Wonderful view! By the way, if I were your Mother I would have stolen Mrs London's shoes off her and ran away 😉

Cassis is a beautiful place. I have a little shoes-and-Cassis story:Years ago, my husband and I took my parents (elderly Americans-just arrived in France) there. While my mother and I were parked near the water waiting for the guys to make a phone call, we watched people heading over to swim or sunbathe. My mother was so shocked by a woman wearing high heels to the beach that she didn't notice the topless women sunbathing nearby.

We had another great lunch at Le Bonaparte Restaurant in Cassis last Friday. Great weather and the food and Cassis wine were fabulous! I am glad you found your way there although I must say dear friend I am not sure how you missed it because there are signs for the restaurant on the main street that point you to the restaurant.
