Geez, no way am I spending 18€ on a bottle of rosé, they're having a laugh. Ad at my place I still serve cheese as an appetiser, the frenchies never eat it, so more for me muhahaha!

Yum! This post is appetite-inducing. My boyfriend and I are actually heading to France this weekend. It will be my 3rd time there (2nd actually since once was an accident – took a wrong turn and ended up in Lille). I'm very excited to see more of France. We'll be going to Menton. Can't wait to relax on the beach and have some great food and wine. (That truffle dog is adorable!)

Can I just say I love you for trying out Miravel! You're so funny. My mom has been asking me if we bought a bottle yet and like you wrote, 18€ is super pricey for a bottle of wine…especially here. I'm super disappointed that it was just blah. I think I'll try it if not only for the sake of novelty. Doesn't Drew Barrymore have a wine out now too? Celebrities are so weird…. Love these photos but you just made me re-hungry! Thanks a lot. : P

I loved your post. We have not been to Lyon yet except for the train station several times which desn't count and a concert which I don't count, so a major oversight for a self proclaimed foodie. I can't wait to go. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

That looks amazing! I only live an hour away from Lyon and we never take advantage of it. Normally we go there for boring things and end up at eating at Buffalo Grill. 🙂

When I was in Lyon, I went to Les Halles per your advice. What a feast for the senses. Sadly, I did not do a lot of eating while there. Everything I found when I had a moment, seemed to be entrails and I'm…not…quite…there yet!

it is completely inappropriate to post these kind of food pics on your blog when i was not invited to the city with the coolest name ever. i'm holding a blogger's grudge….i think a box of macaroons could help me get over it 😉

So delish! We didn't make it to Les Halles on my girlfriend trip to Lyon, and now I'm regretting it. Those oysters look divine (and Lyon is probably the only non-seaside place I'd eat seafood.)You know, we drank a hell of a lot of 3 euro rosé – I only bought the expensive stuff when you came over! (From Cassis, one of my faves.) I can't fathom an 18 euro one – that's just silly.

Wait, so you mean instead of just cursing that 50km/h corner in the middle of the autoroute there, I should have been heading off for food? Now you tell me! BTW, you could have had an €8 rose… ;o)
