give me a break

How do you know when you need a break? Like, when is it time to take a step back from the desk/ kitchen sink/ lab/ or where ever your workspace happens to be, and step away?

Superbreak knows when it’s time and when it is, they recommend taking a trip, like perhaps to London, or maybe even to Paris because lets face it, Paris is always a good idea. Three words: Treat. Yo. Self.

5 Ways to Tell it is Time to Get Away Infographic

So where would you treat yo self to?

  4. LOVE that! My next trip will be to Austria/Switzerland but it's only for a long weekend. Won't get a proper break til Christmas…Germany's only recommendation is “has the largest department store”? Hahaha!

  5. I don't think I work enough to merit a short break – but IF we did go,it would be either somewhere in France (warmer than here!), back to the UK to see friends, or maybe to Barcelona. Mr FD has a hankering to go to Barcelona. I'd quite like to go back to Amsterdam – great place! – but not in the winter. Or Portugal, to see friends…For a longer break, I'd like to go back to Madeira which was also a lovely place….Oh, dammit! You've got me wanting a holiday now!!!

  6. I love to treat myself to a hot spring bath, or, if money's tight or time's an issue, I hang out in the bath at the gym for a bit (an odd perk of Japanese life). If I could really go somewhere, I'd go to Spain, or Italy or the Med somewhere. We're not short of sun here, but we're definitely short of chic europeans to people watch!

  7. Reykjavik, Paris, London, Edinburgh, Dublin….that would be really nice right now! I love to do short trips. They always relax me a lot. I did not know that Germany has the biggest department store. That's surprising. But the thing is huge.

  12. My sister and I are heading off to New Hampshire to do some shopping at the outlets (no sales tax in NH – yay!), which is a treat, as we are going for a few days – no kids, etc. Lots of catching up, stupid jokes and shopping! Perfect getaway.

  17. I'd come to the LPV…DUH! But only to steal you so we can go somewhere warm….like Cabo. Naturally we'd need to stop off in Italy for some wine and bread and cheese and macaroons…actually we probably should stop off in Italy on way back so we can get as fluffy as we want. Moral of the story….I'm in.
