Your restaurant seems generous with most portions except for two stingy spears of asparagus! Looks really good, though, even to me who is kinda off food at the moment.

Observing while sipping on drinks and munching away sounds like what I would've done too! My husband is like you with the crowds thing so parades, clubs, outdoor concerts, etc. are out of the picture. BTW, I made a point of going to Hooters when I started travelling to the States too, so I understand your husband's intrigue haha.

In fairness the asparagus spears were quite large actually but one more wouldn't have gone amiss 🙂

Perfect idea to enjoy the Riverwalk. It is beautiful and too hot in Texas to wait in a crowd. Never been to a Hooters.

San Antonio has always been on my list of places to visit! I hate crowds too, but in February we went to the Seahawks parade in Seattle. There were 500,000 people there, and I don't think I'd ever seen that many people in my life! There was one point when we were kind of being herded along, and I suddenly realized how easily someone could get trampled. It was insane. Luckily everyone was safe, and there were no issues like that. But it would be hard to get me to go to something like that again!P.S. I'm so glad the Spurs won…even though the beat Portland! : )

Aww Sara, you and your husband make such a handsome pair 🙂 And you know there are some parts of the riverwalk where no one ever goes. Looks like you saw some great parts of it 🙂 Thank you for sharing!http://neatly-packaged.blogspot.com/

I might not be a Spurs fan, but the Heat getting trounced is always a reason to celebrate.

Ugh, crowds like that are my worst nightmare too. Don't ask me why I'm working at the Commonwealth Games in a few weeks though, it seemed such a good idea when I volunteered to work Results (ie, no people) and then got put as a team leader in Spectator Services (millions of people). There will be many big deep breaths being taken I'm sure!

So many people sent me pictures of the parade, so I felt like I attended it vicariously! Good call on the food + drinks + parade. Ideal way to do it!!

I can sympathize. Don't like the crowds myself but with a daughter and events here, you have to put up with all the public cuddling that goes with crowds.San Antonio looks lovely! I hope to see it someday!
